Is LASIK painful?
The eyes are numbed with drops, so the procedure itself is not painful. Some people feel mild irritation or watering for a few hours afterwards.
Which is better: LASIK, Contoura or SMILE?
Each has advantages. The right choice depends on your power, corneal thickness and shape, and lifestyle. Your suitability tests guide the recommendation.
Is the result permanent?
The correction made to the cornea is permanent. Your eyes can still change with age, and most people need reading glasses after about 40, whether or not they have had LASIK.
When can I go back to work?
Many people return to desk work within a few days. You will be advised to avoid eye rubbing, swimming and dusty places for a short period.
What if I am not suitable for laser?
ICL implantation is often an excellent option for people with high power or thin corneas. Glasses and contact lenses remain safe alternatives.
